Lauren Haughey

is a multidisciplinary visual artist, organiser, producer, and writer based in Dublin.  Her practice explores the cultural, technological, and ecological conditions shaping contemporary life.

Working across performance, sculpture, installation, moving image, participatory practice, and food-based interventions, she uses research-led and process-based experimentation to investigate how stories, myths, and collective imaginaries emerge within contemporary systems of meaning. In her practice, she aims to provide a lens of enchantment and sensitivity through which to view the world, with an approach of care and curiosity.

Skirmish
2021-Ongoing

Produced and co-founded with Nina Fitzgerald Graham.
Through Skirmish we organise and produce themed costumed events in derelict or overlooked spaces in Dublin and Wicklow. We are dedicated to expanding the realms of events space and imagining new potentials for music and visual art venues. Skirmish works through the potential of nightlife and rave as a tool for temporary tranformation and re-casting of familiar characters in new roles.
