Lauren Haughey
is a multidisciplinary visual artist, writer and event organiser based in Dublin.
Her practice is concerned with exploring our present historical moment; a time of increasing techno-cultural acceleration and profound alienation and disembodiment. She values magic and mythos, and engages in post-production: rearranging and recasting readymades, narrativizing existing forms, as a way of understanding the present world, and generating imaginations of new worlds to come. 
She centres her work on emerging technologies as totemic proxies for imaginaries of the future.

BPM (Bitches Play Music) is a DIY collective, founded and co-produced with Ly Hagan. We are based in Dublin, and focused on platforming experimental FLINTA* musicians manufacturing countercultural cultural production and realising untapped potentialities within the Irish scene and beyond. 

Achievements

• 10+ gigs- a mix of electronic club nights and electro-acoustic gigs.
  
• Undertaken a residency at JUNO during which we programmed a series of lounge evenings, with a mix of downtempo DJing and crafts.
  
• Performed for Dublin culture night in 2024 and 2025- as part of Spectrum in Rua Red, and in Meeting House Square to close off the evening.
• Collaborated with a number of other collectives and organisations- Bitten Twice, synthesize-her, and NCAD Music Society.
  
• Produced a series of hands-on synthesizer workshops in collaboration with synthesize-her in Base arts space.

Produced and co-founded alongside Jack Fanciulli. 
An events organisation collective founded with the aim of bringing niche international electronic performers to an Irish audience.

Skirmish 
2021-Ongoing

Produced and co-founded with Nina Fitzgerald Graham. 
Through Skirmish we organise and produce themed costumed events in derelict or overlooked spaces in Dublin and Wicklow. We are dedicated to expanding the realms of events space and imagining new potentials for music and visual art venues. Skirmish works through the potential of nightlife and rave as a tool for temporary tranformation and re-casting of familiar characters in new roles.
